Casa Serena - located on the tranquil Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort - is a wonderful two bed, two bath, ground floor south-facing apartment with stunning golf course and lakeside views. The beautiful garden attracts year round all day sun, making it a perfect spot to relax.

One of the resort's 19 fantastic communal pools is right on the doorstep and the clubhouse (comprising of a lovely restaurant and bar) and Spar supermarket are only a 5-minute stroll away.

Living Room

The spacious lounge benefits from a 50-inch 4K TV with channels from various countries (including the UK)

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property

The room features a ceiling fan and air conditioning, if required. Central heating is available in all rooms for the winter months

Bedroom 1 accommodates two single beds that can be set up as twins or pushed together

The apartment has its own hedge-enclosed tiled garden and is a perfect place to relax with a drink or sunbathe in private. It has a large extendable patio table and chairs and 4 comfortable sun loungers for use

A charcoal BBQ is available for outdoor cooking lovers

There is an extendable awning for those who prefer shade

The Resort

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is a family friendly holiday, golf and leisure complex located between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

It provides a tranquil setting for those who want to relax in its luxurious gardens and pools, whilst offering a variety of leisure facilities for those that like to keep active.

The complex hosts a wonderful restaurant and bar and a mini supermarket, plus two hardcourt tennis courts, two padel tennis courts, and outdoor gym and multi-purpose sports area.

The resort is located in the Region of Murcia which boasts 300 days of sunshine each year.

Spar Mini Supermarket

Hacienda Riquelme’s on-site supermarket is conveniently situated in the resort’s town-centre. Open every day (except festivals), it is a well-stocked store to ensure you have everything you need.

The supermarket stocks a range of traditional Spanish foods and several imported products.

Freshly baked bread is available every day.

There is a good selection of household products from toiletries to BBQ coals.

Newspapers and magazines in several different languages are available to purchase.

A post box is located at the entrance of the supermarket which is emptied by a postman on a regular basis.

Golf Course

The golf course at Hacienda Riquelme is a Jack Nicklaus design, 18 hole par 72 links-styled parkland golf course built to championship standards with shots made difficult by undulating fairways, bunker hazards, wild grass, olive trees and large lakes.

El Casón - Bar and Restaurant

The El Casón de Riquelme Bar and Restaurante is located in a late-19th Century, colonial-style country manor house. The outside terrace is the perfect location for a few drinks or a lovely meal - We highly recommend giving the Paella a try!

The bar offers a fantastic variety of drinks and even has a happy hour on Thursday evenings between 18:00 to 20:00 with beer and wine 2 for the price of 1!

The Region of Murcia

The Region of Murcia on the Spanish Mediterranean coast remains relatively unspoiled with 250 km of beaches, an average temperature of 21° C and 300 days of sunshine a year and is a wonderful place to visit. The region provides many cultural delights for visitors from places of outstanding natural beauty, monuments, museums and historic remains to gastronomic experiences, cultural events, and festivals. The Roman Theatre of Cartagena and the Cathedral City of Murcia are amongst many great places to visit.

Sucina

The lovely village of Sucina is located only a 5-minute drive from the resort and has a good selection of bars, restaurants and amenities (including a pharmacy and bank).

Murcia City

The city of Murcia is the capital of the Region of Murcia and has fantastic cultural and historical heritage - The baroque cathedral is a must see. There is a thriving tapas scene and you can easily spend an hour or two strolling the streets of the city centre taking in all the plazas and wonderful architecture.

Cartagena

Cartagena is a beautiful port city on the south-eastern coast of the Murcia region. Among its many Roman ruins are a 1st-century B.C. theater and Casa de la Fortuna, a villa with murals and mosaics. There is also a Moorish Castle, which is well worth a visit. Like Murcia city, it has a great variety of tapas restaurants.

Los Alcazares

Los Alcazares is a coastal town located on the shores of the Mar Menor. It boasts a beautiful promenade and beach for sunshine strolls, as well as a plethora of bars and restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines.

"We stayed in the apartment with our baby. It is very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the patio and garden, it gives a lot of outdoor space to enjoy! Everything feels like new. The apartment is on a very big golf resort, so you do have to take the car if you want to get off the resort. The resort itself does offer a supermarket and restaurant though. And there is an underground reserved parking lot."

"My wife and I stayed all October 2024 in the apartment Casa Serena. In addition, my wife's sister and husband visited the apartment for 10 days.

For us the apartment was perfect. The beautiful location directly at the golf course (50 metres) with a view of the 4th hole Green. Also only 5 minutes walk to the driving range/Restaurant & Bar/small supermarket and Coffee Shop. The big Terrace invited us to breakfast/dinner, where we had sun all day. In addition there is a large awning for shading. We spent most of our time on the terrace and had contact with the extremely friendly neighbours. The very large pool 30 metres away was perfectly maintained. Overall, the environment was very quiet. No road traffic, children's noise, passenger traffic between terrace and pool, ...

The apartment is equipped with a very spacious, comfortably furnished kitchen in which nothing was missing. This was very convenient for us because we cook very well and like to cook ourselves. The two living rooms, TV room with integrated kitchen, dining area in the living room with several seating areas are also well furnished and also more than sufficient in size. Only the two bedrooms are relatively small. All rooms are equipped with large, very quiet fans. In addition, air conditioning and heating contributed to very good comfort.

Since we were so enthusiastic about the holiday, we have booked next years vacation, this time for 2 months!!"
